The Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center, located just outside Chicago, is a mixed-use project consisting of a 500-room hotel, a 100,000-square-foot exhibition hall, a 28,000-square-foot grand ballroom, as well as junior ballrooms and meeting rooms. The exhibition hall is also designed to allow for an expansion of the Convention Center by approximately 150,000 square feet. The project's components are linked by covered walkways and center around a landscaped, reflecting pond and fountain.

Poulin + Morris worked closely with hotel senior management in the design of a comprehensive environmental graphics and wayfinding sign program for the entire complex, as well as a graphic identity, branding, and amenities program for the Hotel. Promotional materials and guestroom amenities for the Hotel are designed to reinforce the Renaissance brand and the surrounding midwestern landscape, as well as highlight the Hotel’s services and amenities.

The project was recognized by Graphis and Novum World of Graphic Design (Germany) for Design Excellence in Graphic Design.
