The typographic mural designed by Poulin + Morris for Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications was featured in Communication Arts Typography Annual(January/February 2011). Located in the atrium of the new building, the wall mural spans 3 stories identifying 'NEWHOUSE' and the School's programs such as media studies, journalism, and graphic design. By using CMYK-colored halftone dots, the designers created a visual metaphor celebrating the School and its pursuits of traditonal and non-traditional forms of public communications in the new digital era. The mural was a part of the firm's overall environmental graphics and donor recognition program for this new 75,000-square-foot facility.
