The Museum was conceived and organized as a celebration of food through the interpretation and presentation of implements and objects related to four major functions - processing, preparation, storage, and serving. Over 1,000 food-related implements and objects were collected, cataloged, and displayed to highlight their individual attributes or contrasts. Interpretive exhibition text, didactic labels, and accompanying brochures, as well as a comprehensive environmental graphics and wayfinding sign program for the corporate headquarters facility were also the responsibility of the designers.
This Museum not only enriches the work environment but also conveys the universal and multi-faceted relationship of food to world culture and history.
