Poulin + Morris was responsible for a temporary exhibition program located at the Kraft General Foods Headquarters in Rye Brook, New York which was mounted on a biannual basis and ran for 3 consecutive years. The exhibitions enhance the permanent corporate museum and renew a sense of curiosity for the daily viewer.
The exhibitions were developed around specific food themes, such as Thought for Food, Food in Folk Art, and The Extension of the Hand. Associated objects were exhibited to highlight particular attributes or contrasts relevant to a particular theme. Poulin + Morris also designed the interpretive exhibition text and imagery, didactic labels, and accompanying brochures for each exhibition.
Thought for Food is an exhibition of cookery books from Roman times to the present. Food in Folk Art celebrates the decorative artistry inspired by foodstuffs. The Extension of the Hand focuses the viewer’s attention on the many varieties of handheld utensils and objects we use in the preparation and serving
of food.
